DESCRIPTION:Interested in learning how to build a 24 ft diameter tapered wall yurt? This summer 2023 Looky Here and Dickenson Reach Yurts are collaborating to offer a free 13 day workshop from July 19th to the 31st!  Come camp out on 43 Acres in Marlboro Vt and try your hand at building a tapered wall yurt\, originally designed by Bill Coperthwaite\, author of  “A Handmade Life: In Search of Simplicity” ! This workshop will be led by the talented Mike Iacona\, Bill’s successor and apprentice in Yurt Building. ALL SKILL LEVELS WELCOME! SUMMARY:Liberated Paper Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Come learn how to make paper pulp art that is a combination of collage\, assemblage\, painting and bas-relief sculpture! \nIn this workshop\, you will make a batch of paper pulp out of stuff from the recycling bin. Local paper artist Amanda Petrovato will show you what she has learned about creating with this versatile and inexpensive medium.\nYou are invited to bring a few pieces of junk mail or paper packaging or you are welcome to use the materials provided. This workshop is for anyone age 10 and up. \nPlease inquire at sambadelicmail@yahoo.com about scholarship opportunies if you would like to learn but the participation fee is prohibitive.\nAmanda Petrovato is an Easthampton resident and artist who has been working in western\nMassachusetts for over 20 years. Amanda believes that nobody should be denied creative expression or inhibited by the expense of traditional art materials.
