SUMMARY:Painting in Harmony: Color Theory for Painters with Julia Zanes (4/9-4/30 $125)
DESCRIPTION:Using the texts of Joseph Albers and Johannes Itten we will talk about Color.\nWe will play a synesthetic game of musical paintings and watch a slideshow of paintings that illustrate the color contrasts of Johannes Itten.  We will mix colors  with  a cursory discussion of new and historic pigments. Each student will make a painting the subject of which is Harmony\, and we will see where trying to pin down the idea of color harmony leads.
