Create all the pieces to make a unique mixed media, hinged book.  In the first class create easy textured and layered painted papers with a gel plate.  Experiment with mark making using familiar and unusual tools.  Let the tools and tips guide you to create something uniquely your own.

You’ll learn how to:

Use and care for a Gel plate.  

Create fun marks and layered patterns

Pull monotype (one of a kind) painted papers

Then join the second class on Aug 19 to assemble the painted papers, marks and recycled paper into easy, serendipitous collages that we’ll use to create hinged mini books..

$35 per class includes use of all materials

Class size limit 8

Attending both classes is recommended but not required.  I’ll supply painted papers etc for the August class if needed.
