Another music on the calendar! This one is for Friday July 12th and will feature Isaac Fosl-van Wyke, a songwriter and puppeteer based in Louisville, Kentucky. His whimsical poetry is haunted by ghosts both past and present. Biting cultural critique resides in mythical, rhyme-heavy storytelling, under harmonic layers from outstanding Kentucky musicians (Joan Shelley, Nathan Salsburg, Lacey Guthrie, Anna Krippenstapel, and more). All held together by Isaac’s singular voice, the songs quiver with anxiety and hope while confronting crises of cultural genocide, climate change, and industrial capitalism. We will also have music from Nicolas Panken, formerly of the band spirit family reunion, and a special something from Bella Levavi. Doors are at 7 and show costs $10!
