The World Split Open—The Power of Personal Narrative
This 8-week in-person (!) writing class will offer generative prompts for unearthing new material from the rich terrain of our daily lives, as well as opportunities for feedback on more developed work. We will read stories, poems, essays, memoir and novel excerpts in the service of finding juicy and satisfying ways to tell our own stories. Truth is relative, but we will be interested in it nonetheless! Appropriate for adults and mature teens of all levels of writing experience. Limited to 12 students.
